 The Weather for today in South Jersey with the sunrise at 7:07 am on Ground Hog Day is possible snow showers this evening and into the morning with temp going up to 39 degrees, which is four degrees below normal.

 The Weather for the Week is more snow showers on Wednesday in the morning with the temp reaching the mid-40's. However, on Thursday and Friday are boring days with just clouds before possible snow showers again on Saturday to add some excitement for the weekend.

 The What Happened on this Day is in 1848 The Mexican War ended with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The treaty turned over portions of land to the U.S., including Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, California and parts of Colorado and Wyoming. The U.S. gave Mexico $15,000,000.

 The What is Happening on this Day is it is Ground Hog Day in Punxsutawney, Pa. - the first Ground Hog Day was in 1887 and it keeps happening every year.
